HRIS & IDP Sync Layer

The reliability layer that keeps employee and identity data in sync across customers' HRIS and identity systems.

Context

Enterprise customers don't want to re-enter their org chart. Peoplebox has to stay in sync with the HRIS and identity providers their customers already trust.

The problem

Integrations break silently — a schema change on their side, a token expiring, a webhook misfiring — and by the time you notice, the data is already stale.

How it was solved
  1. 01

Built idempotent, resumable sync jobs around HRIS APIs and identity providers.

  2. 02

Wrapped external calls in retry-and-backoff so transient failures self-heal.

  3. 03

Added reconciliation and drift detection so staleness is caught, not discovered by users.

  4. 04

Kept every integration behind one consistent contract with clear ownership.

The detail worth mentioning
Integrations are only as good as their failure handling. When the source system changes shape, the sync tells you — before the data drifts.
Outcome

24/7in sync

employee and identity data flowing reliably across customer systems

  • Employee and identity data syncing reliably across customer systems.
  • Silent breakage replaced by automatic retries and drift alerts.
  • A repeatable pattern for onboarding new HRIS and identity providers.
